At the time, Mercado Libre, was on its way to become the giant it is today. You might not believe this, but most of their interface was text based, and their navigation was a bit cryptic.
As Espacios Digitales was part of their affiliate program, we set out to create a light version that would allow users to easily navigate through their most important categories and see product pictures upfront. Once users clicked on a product they were taken to the Mercado Libre posting.
Fun fact: We later leveraged this same model for particular categories like for example concert tickets.
